I've seen a few blob eye STI's for sale that only have the STi badge on the back and no type UK bit underneath. Apart from someone taking this off, what does it mean? Is it a euro import? They're definetly not JDM, no rear wiper.

 

mine doesn't have Type uk on the back.

 

mine hasn't got one either. I only bought my blob eye about 3weeks ago but as i was polishing yesterday i could still see where the Type UK badge had been removed. I my opinion it looks better without the type uk badge.

 

If your not sure check the log book because mine has Type UK written on it.

p.s seen lots of 05 sti's Type UKs without the badge last week

 

I've had my Type UK from new and the badge fell off after a couple of years. Never got round to sticking it back on. Badge is rubbery compared to the WRX and STi badges and i think probably prone to falling off or peeling and coming loose.

It should also say Type UK on your intercooler too.

 

Bought mine new in 03 and it came without any "type UK" badging - never bothered!

Also have a look on the Intercooler, at the top there should be a "Type UK'' sticker there, although I took mine off as it looked very rough due to the heat, so just replaced it with a normal STI badge from scoobyparts.
