hello everyone,
Does anyone know of any sites out there with extensive car performance figures? I wanted to do an `on-paper' comparison between my MY99 UK turob and my mates `88 Audi Quattro. I think my car feels much faster but I want to see it in writing
Haven't as yet had a chance to do any straight-line, on road comparisons...
cheers, Dave.

cheers for that Neil, that's an interesting article I'd not read before. However, my mates Quattro is one of the original Coupes (reg `87) it's not one of the new S3 things.

This any good?

As autocar this week said, It's a massive shame for Audi that they did'nt develop the Quattro and let it die. But good news for us, because from it's demise rose such greats as the Integrale, Impreza, Evo and Cossie.

Nah his is the older turbo charged version. I just found this which seems to have some good info:
http://www.quat.com/urqhome.html
The car's very nice, but it definitely feels like something out of the 80s. Definitely not as rapid as the Scooby to 60 (as those figures bear out) but it does handle very well (of course) and it's built like a tank. I also love the sound of the turbo, it really sounds like a space ship where as my scooby sounds a little daft I think. Anyhow, it can't live with the Imprezza for sheer rapid acceleration and immediate response (imho).
Dave.
