(mods, please dont move, could do with a little help with this)
Yup, just spent a **** load of time and money getting my car looking and performing as I wanted it too.....
So, one the way home tonight some big-*** b4stard deer runs out in front of my baby, 'oh no' I hear you all shout! It was about 3cm away from the car when I saw it - no chance of stopping, impact speed was about 30mph. Lucky I was in traffic cos it is a NSL road .
The annoying thing is that I was in a line of traffic, it must have picked the nicest looking car and dived at it! Personaly, I hope the little git is dead.
Result: My baby smashed up in the middle of a back lane, no sign of the little git, I suspect he just got up, laughed and ran off into the woods to tell his little woodland buddies...... w4nker!
So, I call upon my collective friends on scoobynet to help me find some cheap parts (this couldnt have come at a worse financial time for me )
Parts needed:
This is from what I can see in the dark tonight, I will have a decent poke around in the morning. Car is a MY95 WRX in the light silver colour (will post the paint code in the morning).
1 x WRX Bonnet in silver (alloy if poss), no vents needed.
1 x Drivers side headlight
1 x Drivers side sidelight
1 x Passenger side headlight
1 x Passenger side sidelight
Will consider Morretts too - anyone know of a good supplier?
If the parts could be local to me in Hemel Hempstead, I would be grateful Any news on the carbon bonnets Maxy??
It looks like I have been lucky this time, I will edit the post if I need any further parts.
Take it easy out there people.
Paul
PS: Here is a pic of what she looked like.....

Gutted for you POC. Where abouts was it, If the deer should'nt have been loose maybe you can claim against the landowner?
Phone around a few breakers yards(Grade A Subaru spring to mind)/scoobysport, they'll be your best bet

Paul,
gutted to hear this.
I've got MY94 headlamps sitting in my garage (kent though) so if the MY95 takes the same then you're welcome to one or both of them.

I'm sorry to hear about it mate. This happened to my friend a few weeks ago somewhere in Reading area in his Corsa. Unlike my friend, I hope you at least took the deer home and made a stew out of it. Deer meat tastes nice.....

Bad luck m8, car looks good. I just missed a Deer in my old GSI. It came out from trees on a duel carridge way. Had my dad with me so wasn't booting it. Otherwise would have met it at 70mph Never expected to see a deer where it jumped from.
Nearly had a rabbit embedded in my front spoiler twice so far with several close pheasant encounters, and completely wipped out a pheasant in my old MK2 Escort. The force it hit made my mates feet bounce of the foot well floor.
Shame they don't teach animals Stop, Look, Listen.
Hope it all gets mended soon.

bad news mate! was that after i saw you or was that thursday night? do a search in loot, there is a guy selling, bonnet, wings & lights, not sure on year or location. could be cheap enough to offset the cost of fuel if you have to go collect the stuff? good luck.

Flipping deer, bloody hazard. Nearly ran into a whole herd of the damn things less than 400M from my house the other week, made me real glad I'd had driving lights fitted after one of my fogs got smashed...

1 x Drivers side headlight
1 x Drivers side sidelight
1 x Passenger side headlight
1 x Passenger side sidelight
Will consider Morretts too - anyone know of a good supplier?

Hit one myself a few weeks ago (my thread was titled "Oh Deer!") however, I was lucky enough not to need any new panels or lights.
You might want to have a look at these two sites for the parts you need:
www.midland-impreza.co.uk or www.subaruspareparts.co.uk
About a week after I had hit the deer I was on my way to work one morning & found a guy just climbing out of the remains of his Renualt Clio. He had hit a deer, locked up, skidded off the road, side swiped a couple of trees, one of which then fell on the back of his car. The deer was killed!!

So there were no warning signs, you've never driven this road before and never seen a deer? In which case, you were very unlucky.
On the other hand, consider this. A few years ago on the A47 (plenty of deer) a car load of clubbers hit a big b@st@rd square-on late one night. Took it off at the hip and the whole beast came sideways through the windscreen, killing all four people. The deer wasn't too good, either.
Richard.
