Japanese appreciation wave?????
Now then,
Ive recently swapped my 52 plate bug for a 55 300 model which to be fair is somewhat more "chavved" upm, gay gold wheels pd exhaust etc!! Now i've always been an advocate of the subaru wave and admitedly the first time it happened to me i wondered what the f?$k the guy in the classic shape was waving at.
However whilst in traffic today a bloke in an evo VI going the other way made a decided point of sticking his thumb up to me, now at the time i felt this was a bit like me waving to a german but i duly gave him the nod.
Is the jap car apprecaiation wave spreading across makes????

I've had a fair few gestures of recognition from Evo drivers, and the occasional nod etc from other Jap car drivers.
I think its all rather very nice actually I think its mainly due to Jap car owners tending to be primarily interested in other Jap cars - its like a little jap-sub-culture within the whole car thing; just look at events like the Japanese Tuning Show, Rotorstock and JAE to see what I mean, even though people have "their" marque, they still have a healthy interest and admiration for most other Jap cars.

I think the main thing is that we all like cars. As that makes us public enemy number one we need to stick together regarless of marque. I wave at all Jap stuff (well the performance stuff at least) and any non jap stuff that I happen to like. That includes some chav stuff too.
The kid in the saxo will hopefully mature into the bloke in something more pedigree dont forget

I've occasionally had some banter with Evo drivers, but as far as the club goes we've got a good relationship with most of the local Evo guys - they even come to our meets on occasions
