Default Custom Exhausts affecting fuel/performance?

Guys, can someone please tell me if the Blitz NurSpec R exhaust backbox as fitted onto a MY55 WRX STi will affect the performance i.e. will it decrease performance?

Will the custom backbox affect the miles you get out a full tank, or are neither of these affected? I aint too fussed about increased performance - I just want a backbox for the "burble" sound and that's all. Just wanted to check if it will decrease acceleration/torque and fuel consumption in anyway?

Finally would a custom backbox affect the warranty you get with the car?

Any help very much appreciated.

Having read various threads, it must be the Blitz NurSpec R as everyone says that sounds the best!

It wouldn't affect performance or mpg. If it did, it would be a positive effect anyway, not a negative one (haven't you seen ad's claiming 20bhp increase or whatever for a backbox?) I'd try to hear a NurSpec before fitting one, as it's a bit too loud for many people...

It could affect warranty if something were to go wrong with the car that Subaru could possibly claim was related in some way to having fitted a non-standard backbox. I think it's unlikely and have fitted aftermarket backboxes to both my STI's and still had warranty work done. I'd maybe be a little more cautious about replacing any other parts of the exhaust whilst under warranty though.

It is loud but the bung makes a massive difference - in fact, I'd say it was quieter on cruise with the bung in than my prodrive box was.

I can't prove it, but I actually think my MPG has improved very slightly since having my Nur Spec fitted.
