I understand that Powerstation are running a rolling road day on 20th for the first 35jap cars to turn up.
Anybody intending on going? Just wondering whether I'll be the only Scoob in amongst a sea of GTI-R's

Strange, I seem to have video footage showing me whipping 2 Scoobs at a recent track day, and we have a Supra that does an 11.8 second 1/4 mile.
Everybody dishes out the excuses, Scoobs have slipping clutches as well...And I seem to think the breakfast runs feature a number of Supras crawling all over the Scoobs...and then theres the top speed runs that certain magazines do....
So, is the dyno day open to 2wd cars?

Did the discussion over the methods of achieving the results ever reach a conclusion? (eg, should powerstation floor the throttel in 4th to achieve comparitive results for all cars)

Pah! Who cares anymore? I don't really want to bring this all up again. The figures for various cars on the day weren't consistent, and that's that. I guess we'll never know why.
I may try and pop down on the 20th with my original ecu back in and see what happens then.
Stef.

I care - what's the point in going on a rolling road if you can't compare your car with others, or your own car prior to mods.
The fact that you say we'll never know why suggests I may have missed something - I'm not wanting to cause trouble gov. You should be happy that your cars cr@p stef , makes you look all the better as you fly round the track.

The rolling road day at Powerstation on the 20th IS NOT a first come first served. How do i know ? Im organising it !! Revs totally cocked up, and now im picking up the pieces. We already have 35 cars down on a list with several reserves. You are all welcome to turn up on the day to spectate, obviously, but i doubt you will get a run. Incidentally it IS for all Jap cars, but no Scoobies applied ??!
Cheers

No Scoobie's? thats wierd, so the only point of going then would be to stand and watch what other cars are getting, hmmm, did you get any Integra Type-R's, or Skylines? anything really cool that might make it worth coming to have a look?

No Integra Type R's im afraid. Off the top of my head, 3 323GTX's, 1 EVO6, 1 EVO2, 1 Skyline R33GTR, 1 Nissan 200ZX (simon norris's 400bhp one), and the remainder GTiR's, including the four most highly tuned in the country with claims between 350 and 400bhp.

Hmmmmm....so out of all the different Japanese cars available for your Jap Car Day you've only got six different models, no Scoobs and 28 GTi-R's? Nice mix.

Stef,
Maybe because the day started as a GTi-R Owners Club day and they decided to throw the doors open later to invite a few other Jap cars.
