Default help needed!!

My scooby has failed the MOT twice now im having so many problems with the exhaust system!

First time round it failed because it was too load and the emissions where to high. After a cat was put it the noise went down and went through but still the emissions are way to high!? The guy at the garage has said it could be the lambda sensor as he has ran out of things to try

He has given me details of the one installed no idea about it wonder if anyone else knows....

Bosch BJECS LIC 84/641 208 29294

What can i do to get the emissions down???

I think on the emmissions side of it they put it through the wrong test it should have went through the non cat test as it is a jap import and it's a 1992 model.
The vosa database that these emmission test machines use should have no record of a subaru impreza jap import maybe if it was a uk classic but not an import...

Thats what i said but i was told if its registered after september 1992 then you have to do the cat test, and guess what.... mine is about 12 days out according to the garage although im not sure how they found out the exact date was?its not even written in the log book. if it fails again im guna see if they will overlook the out of date section as its still 92 reistered.

im supposed to be getting it insured this saturday as well! its causing nothing but problems so far

Ask another test centre what they would do.
If they would pass it just get them to do it. You will lose the money on the last one but at least its done.
