Looks "lumpy" to me, not keen at all. A big spoiler would look ridiculous due to the shape of the back. The boot isn't big enough to carry it off. I liked discreet in the old cars, hence my car, but this is just non-descript.

I can't believe some people are saying that looks OK - it's truly HORRIBLE, and that's coming from someone who doesn't think the hatchback is all that bad (in STI form that is). It looks like a Hyundai Accent crossed with some vile Kia or suchlike. It's even in Hyundai silver! Really, really bad...

Better than the hatch, kit it up and it would out sale the hatch I am sure. Subaru need to listen to its customer before they are driven to other marques............

i printed that pic off and ive had a mess about. not to much i know but i only spent about 20-30mins on it.
a few bits changed...
def new spoiler, wheels. bit more aggessive front end, lip spioler, different grill etc.
any better?

Tell you what,spend a few weeks on it and send it off to Subaru to show them how it could have looked.
