Whats the sensor in the exhaust?
I have just replaced my front section with a second hand one the new one is off a r plate and i was assured it would be the same as my original k plate one. Fitted it all seemed well until it came to the sensor on mine it was a small thing which broke trying to remove anyway but the new exhaust has alot bigger hole does this mean the exhaust is no good for my car or is it simply a case of getting a bigger sensor.?
Any help/advice will be appreciated....

Thanks don't suppose you know if it would it effect my car if i fit the bigger version?

 

Is the hole in the same position?

I cant decide if the part you replaced is the manilfold/headers or the downpipe?

The early cars had the O2 sensor in the headers where later classics have it in the downpipe. Some imports (not sure about uk) have an extra sensor lower down in the donwpipe that is alot smaller that the O2. I think its an EGT or similar.

as wayne says the sensor in your original downpipe is the cat not working sensor/egt sensor.. you can disconnevt or leave plugged in and cable tie it up.

then block the hole in down pipe
