Default Inlet Manifold rotation

When people have rotated their ver 1.5 Inlet manifold around,

what angle have they made the alluminium wedge that thy have added to the trottle body section to route the intercooler pipe down rather than to fowl the bonnet ?

Cheers
Chris.

From memory it wants to have around a 20 degree rake on either side, so 40 in total.

By keeping the angle on either side the same you can machine an oval (rather than a circle) in the centre which will match the TB flange port on the inlet exactly.

Cheers Carl, i'll let me mate know who is hopefully going to do this for me.

PS> are there any other parts needed for this task, do i have to get a belt tensioner for the alternator belt if i re-locate the alternator ?

Tell a lie, i've just checked the drawing i've done and the rake is 15 degrees either side.

I'm in the process of relocating my alternator at the moment. With a bit of luck i'll be finished today. Mine doesn't use a conventional idler-pulley tension mechanism as my alternator is being flipped to make room for a larger inlet manifold, not a rotated one. Hence my belt can run through where the TB would be.
