Seen a few reviews scatterred around the web and all have been very positive, especially regarding the smoothness of the engine...

Wonder what they'll do with it in the Impreza [runs quickly into flameproof bunker]...!

150bhp and 250 lbft torque is pretty poor nowadays. Especially if this engine is to become the new Impreza WRX.
I think it need to be up at the 200 / 300 level.

Compared to who it's against it's pretty decent. I think the flat 6 is getting the same treatment so that should help leter.
