If you remove the caliper , you will have to bleed the system , no offence but if you dont know how to take them off , you will find it harder getting them back on working again , just remove the pads and clean all the caliper out in place , use carb or brake cleaner , and jizer/gunk and wash them off with warm water and a sponge , then refit either the old or new pads , its fairly easy to do all in place

It's not that difficult, there are sort-of "pins" that push through from the rear, and need to be drifted out. I used a nail I'd ground the point off.
The pins benefit from cleaning up with a wire brush and a spot of copper grease on the collars that hold them in place, you'll see them once you have them out, they are the rusty bits
DO take careful note of the fit and orientation of the anti-rattle springs BEFORE removing the pins.
The pads then slide out towards the OUTSIDE of the wheel.
Calipers CAN be removed if you want access to the inside made easier, just don't undo the flexible brake pipes, and don't allow the brake pipes to be strained, over-twisted, kinked etc. I used some soft iron wire to fashion a loop through one of the caliper bolt holes and around the shocker spring, so as not to allow the caliper's weight to hang on the flex pipe
A squirt of WD40 on the caliper bolts an hour before undoing them is to be advised, but DON'T let it overspray onto the disc, pads etc

Just take reasonable care and it'll be easy.
