I suppose remap and sports cat are the obvious ones (I'm cheating by combining them as "one" mod), but thinking about it the whiteline 22mm anti-roll bar has to be one of the the best bang for buck mods out there.

Why ? Cos it turned my Impreza into a sports car. Ok, i might have got a bit carried away there ! Anyway, the car is no longer wallowy and actually handles very well ! (although I have the Prodrive springs too)

Shoot, I mentioned 4 mod's, not one !

Roadcraft Advanced Driving Techniques from a Police Class 1 Pursuit Driver. Added more speed than many £000's spent on mods would ever add, greatly increased the safety of my driving and the best bit, it isn't bolted to the car so I get to keep it for life and use it on every car I ever own.

AST coilovers off a mate for £100 comes second with the Whiteline RARB third.

Professional instruction in how to effectively drive a high performance on and off track. Worth at least 50 bhp, a set of coilovers and big brakes and about a tenth of the cost. Having said that, I am a smug, self-congratulatory b4stard.

QUick shift gear lever

Got it for 99p from EBAY and totally transformed the "stirring soup" feeling the standard newage tend to give.

Value for money has to be rear ARB and DL's as already mentioned, however the most impressive mod (and insistently the most expensive) has to be my AP's. They addressed to biggest weakness of the std car, transforming it. Worth 50hp at least IMHO..!

Very boring I know, but a new set of tyres. Going from boggo slightly worn Pirellis to Toyo Proxes improved the grip no end, and 4 wheel laser alignment at the same time - car instantly felt a lot more together and 'placed' on the road.

Air Con - retro fitted to MY00 - keeps me cool in the summer!

And that bit of sponge tape I put on the glove box seal to stop it squeaking!

STI back box.
