£71000 speeding fine for executive
in a country with astronomical speeding fines, mobile phone mogul Anssi Vanjoki has to wait and see if he will de the new Finnish
record holder.
Vanjoki an executive vice president of Nokia was cuaght speeding
at 46mph in a 30mph zone on his Harley Davidson in a Helsinki suburb.
He was handed a ticket amounting to £71000 based on his 1999
income, when mainly option sales gve him a net income of £3.6 millon.
In Finland traffic fines are liked to an offenders income, not taxable wealth and theres no limit.
The case gose to court nexy month.

Scary - did about 80mph in a 70kph zone in Norway a couple of months ago. Still waiting for the ticket to arrive. Speed cameras were pointing the wrong way....
