Default RB320 MPG vs 05 STi PPP MPG?

okay, loads of letters in the thread title, but is it true that an RB320 is better on petrol than an 05 STi PPP? maybe 'a bit'?

just looking at my mileage rates for work, and i get 50% more per mile for a 2.5litre car than a 2.0litre, and have heard that an RB is slightly better as well?

anyone gone form an 05 to an RB and noticed a difference?

also, is it worth swapping ie is an RB loads better?

Not sure on the 05 to RB comparison but, when taking it easy, my consumption is a tad better than my old 03 WRX.

Worth swapping? Once again, not sure on the 05 comparison but it's a lovely car. Although I would say that - I'm biased. LOL

You might want to visit the RB320OC (The RB320 Owners Club :: Rally Hero Special Edition :: The Owners Club especially for the Subaru Impreza RB320 :: Richard Burns RIP) and ask over there - pretty sure there's an 05 to RB convert.

I have an 05 STi PPP and I love the car. It does about 19 - 20 mpg pretty much all the time, slightly more on a long cruise (upto 23mpg) and will do a lot less I image if it was to be cained relentlessly!
My car has the prodrive spring kit and PFF7's and is black so looks the business
I would say however that the RB320 looks awesome and I would suggest has the edge over the piece, unfortunately I don't know from experience what the mpg on them is

I have a 2005 STI, I get 23-24mpg on the daily slog and about 27-28ish on a motorway run (in 6th at 3½k-4k) depending if I keep off the boost or not... less if I push it.... Mine has the PPP, but 17" wheels.
