To all the Scooby experts.
Question: You have 2 identical Scoobies - say a 05 UK STI with DCCD driven around a track by the same person, however;
1 car has £2000 of suspension upgrades only.
The other car has £2000 of brake upgrades only.
Which car would be the quicker around the track . My guess would be the car with the brake upgrades (I think).

I would say the suspension but as said above depends on circuit.
TBH everything is all about compromise and depends were you'll willing to make those compromises....... on the raod....or....on the track.
I would spend £2K on Prodive springs, uprated anti roll bars and drops, 4Wheel alignment. Uprated Pads. brake fluid and braided brake lines.
IMHO this would give a fair road Car and a fairly good Track car

Depends for how long they are out on track. One with suspension mods might be quicker initially, but once the standard brakes overheat, the the one with uprated brakes will be significantly quicker.
Carrying extra speed around the corners isn't much good if you can't stop at the end of the straights
As Andy says, doing some track days and getting tuition will most likely make more of a difference to lap times a well.

I totally agree with the driving tuition courses. Theres little point having a quick car if you don't know how to handle it.
Ok for arguments sake say the cars were driven by Petter Solberg .
