i have a late mk 1 impreza turbo which has been fine up until recently.for some reason i got into it the other morning and found that the car would not go into 1st gear and is very hard to get into 2nd.i have looked underneath the car and the only thing that looks out of plece is that the box is very damp around the drain plug area.i was wandering if any one could kindly give me the location of the filler hole so i can try to top up the gearbox before possibly having to remove the unit.

as far as i know u pour the oil in the hole that the dip stick is sticking out

 

it won't be oil It is more likley to be sycros or the linkage is binding

just found it gearbox seems to be quite dry lets hope some oil will sort it.once again many thanks.cheers
