Why would a car with only 28,000 miles on it need a new clutch.. ?

Just asking...

I'm struggling to share the excitement - I'm guessing he's having to make all the effort to sell it 'cos it's a fugly.

Why dont you let the guy just get on with selling his car?

He may well be a member from this board.

Totally agree. Guy's obviously fastidious about his car and gets the usual negative SN attitude. If I was after that age / type car I'd be made up finding such an enthusiastic owner.......

if you look at his feedback he's a car trader, but all the same it is a very good advert if you know nothing about subarus

Very ordinary looking STI to me. Silver not really best colour for newage. Crappy spoiler. Ad really bit OTT for very average STI and why has it needed clutch with only 31k. Either thrashed or clocked, simple as!!

contradicts himself though, says a clutch change is a sign of it being ragged, then a bit later says t had a new clutch a few thous miles ago

you can tell the seller is a proper salesperson though

I say fair play to him . He has spent a lot of time on it and will most likely get a good sale out of it .

Nope

And I didn't mean to sound unpleasant about the Clutch thing - its just that it would raise some concerns in me if I was looking at the car thats all - concerns that would lead to me asking some other questions.

Don't think DCCD was available after the STi 6 until the Blobeye (2003) JDM car's appeared? (I could be talking out of my **** here)

I think that car is spot on, advert is a bit OTT but when you consider the amount of ad's done by people who can't read and write, it's a god send. I am sure the car will find a good home and it looks in top condition (bags of potential to update it?).

Just my £5.00 worth

I think the DCCD only came out on the MY05 model of the UK STi.
