sports cat!!!
hi all.well im off to scooby clinic next friday to have an exhaust fitted.does anybody know if they do sports cats as i've looked on there web site and caint seem to find any on there

You may well have "loads" of cats on your car. I'm not familiar with the details of the buggy modela though...
You may have....
- Up-pipe cat - pre-turbo.
- Downpipe cat (immediately post-turbo)
- Centre section cat (under the car).
Generally speaking, you only need the one cat. Providing your car is running properly and is properly setup. You may also have a post cat lambda sensor on the car that will get arsey if you completely DECAT it.

From: Slowly rebuilding the kit of bits into a car...
Lose the catted up-pipe as they can fail if you re-map and they up the boost.
Also fit a catted down-pipe as you don't lose any real power, and then full system.... a couple of bhp isn't enough to notice, and you'll pass an MOT everytime.
The cat on a P1 is good for 400 bhp, but still they take them off

i was reading on the tsl website some time ago and they recomend leaving the oe downpipe cat on aswell,something to do with back pressure
