The metallic look pushes 'calmer and more relationship-focused' blue car drivers into second place on popularity.
I have a silver BMW, for when I want a nice comfy, relaxed journey from A to B, and a blue STI for fun.

What does that say about me or about the poll, I wonder?

it means one of them is a company car and the other one means you are a bit of a nutter (that is what paul palmer says anyway )

Agreed, a total bull**** story. Don't think I've ever actually chosen a secondhand car by merit of its colour. Mine's silver but that's probably one of my least favourite Impreza colours.

What a crock of ****.. Its merely down to the fact that the type of people who are work-a-holic, go-getter no time to be polite types also have no time to wash their cars so they buy silver cars which hide the dirt and scratches and mean they dont have to wash or have them washed so much

So does that mean a chav with a multi-coloured abomination is:

"a slight misunderstood neanderthol with slight schizophrenic tendancies and the odd chance of being a bit phik.. init"

Not the usual opinion most motorists give to blue, gold alloyed Impreza's!

Work a holic-no, go getter-maybe, polite-definately got time. Silver does make the scratches and dings brought on by the wife and children more bearable. Anyway the reason I bought a silver car is cos I like Silver . I am now going to do the weekly ritual of cleaning inside and out and fill it up with petrol,if it will get me to the garage . And also silver matches my driveway .

My 05 STI PPP is silver and it looks the bollocks, brings the agressive lines out more than say the black or the blue. Black is my favourite colour but its a pain and you see every scartch and swirl mark. Do like gun metal grey also!!!

My last two cars were silver, stops the scratches showing up as much, trouble is every other car on the road now is silver too.

My Scoob's red:- "Red car drivers are 'wild and in charge of any situation"

FWIW, the Scoob is Blue (TERZO blue which we all know is the fastest ), the Golf is Red, which means I'm
'calmer and more relationship-focused'
&
'wild and in charge of any situation'
Obviously I'm a mass of contradictions

My first car was red - my mum's old Fiat Panda. It meant "I'm skint, but at least I don't have to catch the bus any more!"
