looking at this pic



i thought i had it sussed,you dont need to remove the intercooler,but every thread size i try isnt right, an m8 thread, my understanding, 10mm head,8mm thread,nope,way too small, try and m10 thread, 12mm head,10 mm thread,right ?

the hole is just between a large rubber pipe that goes to a beige solenoid, the original knocklink is just below the hole in the pic ???

trying to sort out myself but as of yet n o joy

 

in the end i managed to get the bolt into the thread,alloy had gone all corrosive etc so just managed to get a bolt to bite.
