You wont get an alarm, you wont get a tracker, make sure the car hasn't been pre registered meaning you are the second owner. The £20K from a UK dealer is the starting point for negotiation. Check the warranty is through international motors (subaru)

If you are going to sell the car to a dealer in a year or two he WILL pull your pants down on the price. If you sell privately within the first 3 years the buyer will want a discount as the car isnt a UK car.

Overal you generally win with these cars BUT there are draw backs and the price difference is not always what it seems.

ps ....... I had a euro car, kept it three years and did ok when I sold it.

ive just bought one in april one draw back is that gettin ppp fitted will void the pan-european warranty. Some times the service intervals will be different as in km instead of miles.
Also service books can take a while to come through. In sayin that im happy i did so and i saved £6000 but spent £2000 on mods so im still £4000 up

As already said, you will need to fit a Cat 1 alarm (about £300). UK WRXs don't have Trackers as standard either. There are a few on the road costs too, so a Euro car will cost close to £15k on the road. You may be able to haggle down a UK car a grand or two, making the saving £3-4k.

I bought a Euro 2 years ago and am well pleased. Haven't had any problems, so can't confirm that warranty work is honoured, but others have said that there is no problem.

Second hand, they will be worth a bit less, more so if you sell within 3 years or to a main dealer.

It is also true that fitting the Prodrive Performance Pack to an EU will void the warranty, so you will have to keep it standard for 3 years or take a risk.

Hope this helps.

I've had a euro for nearly 2 years. No problems, with warranty items either, garage have been spot on.

As said, you're minus a few parts, but nothing £1000 wouldn't sort out.

Mats, Tracker, Alarm, Locking Wheel Nuts.

But you get better seats. Well i did anyway.
