Default Looking for a certain Subaru

Greetings.

I have been scouring the net for info or even an image of a Subaru that a friend of mine owned about fifteen years ago.

It's a long story, but I want to find the name/model of it, and see if I can locate one.

All the information I have is that it was of course AWD, a 1988 to 1992 model Leone-style (before the Imprezas came out) and it was turbocharged. It also had a type of adaptable suspension where you could raise or lower the rear end?
It looked like a Loyale, only with larger tires/wheels and higher ride height.

I am not a subaru owner but came here to see if any of you know the model I am talking about!!!

Thanks in advance!!!!!

Pretty sure it's a Subaru XT turbo you're after.
There was also a 4wd hatch around the same time but they never made a turbo and I'm damned if I can remember the model name?

Aha, found a pic of the coupe, there was a GT model but it wasn't a turbo.

There's an ad for the XT in here as well - this is the one you want..

Is it the one that was in the canonball run movie, driven by Jackie Chan?

The Impreza replaced the L (Leone) series not the Legacy. Impreza was a rally replacement for the Impreza cause all the manufacturers were downsizing for weight reduction.

XT was based on the L series.

hahahaha and one of you called ME a retard!!!

none of you are right. it's not an SVX nor is it the XT.

The closest guess was Daft Lad, but picture that car raised up on a 4x4 suspension with flashy graphics and a turbo. Almost like a Brat sedan with no pickup bed in back.

KEEP TRYING
heheheheeh

Bloody hell mate, make your mind up what it looks like

Take your pick but I'm guessing it will be the Subaru 1800 turbo as pitured above but sedan instead of estate.

OK the picture that STIGAZ posted a link for.

Imagine that car, only as a 4-door sedan not a wagon, and a newer body style (the body style pictured above) and you've got it.

I told you this was a rare car!!!!

It was a sweet Subaru. Like I said it had this button that had two settings - off-road or on-road which would raise the ride height or something. Took it for granted back then but it would be awesome to tune up now....
