Default rear breaks

guys my rear pads and disks have seen better days! and never upgraded breaks b4 so please need some pointers as been searching forums but i am getting lost lol

was thinking of an upgrade i have not got a massive ammount of cash after getting the car up together but they need to be done so rather than paying a silly price for standard parts can anyone recommend a good set to upgrade for pads and disks?

i dont mind spending a 300-400 more than what it would be for a standard setup but cant afford a 1500 ap/willwood 6 pot setup

can i fit larger disks to the standard calipers?

also do you think ifit is possible can i upgrade the standard calipers from single to 2 or 4 pots within my budget etc

many thanks

steve

Hi Steve
Yes you can upgrade the rears without spending silly money. you can fit the 290mm discs and Subaru 2 pot calipers with a bracket kit I make , and also the 316mm discs and Gold Brembo 2 pot caliper with the fitting kit and handbrake shoes to suit the larger handbrake system on the sti discs.

You should be able to fit either of these systems for under £500 for everything.

What size front brakes do you have , you cannot fit too larger rears if you only have standard fronts.

Cheers Ian
