Default Quick help needed please

I have found that my powersteering belt is well torn and frayed. Is there a guied on how to change this as going on holiday on saturday and driving 500 miles so need to change this tomorow before it snaps.

Could this be the reason for my powersteering to be lumpy and the battery light comming on when on full lock when slow.

Many Thanks Neil

changing the belt is a piece of cake....

just have a look at what needs loosening and then reverse the procedure to fit.

mark the tensioner, so you know roughly where it was....

make a mental note of how tight the belts are. (twist them by hand, should give about 1/2 a turn.

Well just bought a belt £10, when i took the covers off the belt tensioner was well lose and the belt was well slack. The belt had two rips in it one was about 8 inch long. Changed it over and hey it is fine no lumpy steering or whining.

Still got the sound coming from the front wheels so i guess thats something else like barrings but they can wait till after the holiday.

Thanks to all who helped me
Neil
