My 03 STI will be fiddled with by Andy F shortly.

I feel like i'm bombarding Andy with emails and i know he is a busy man...so i'm asking you lot what sort of power do you think i will get.

Mods are..

Full 3" decatted exhaust from turbo back with downpipe wrapped.
Ported/matched/wrapped OE headers and uppipe (from Harvey)
Panel Air filter
Fuel pump
better colder grade spark plugs

Not really allot but the important ones i think!

I'd like to see a good 340bhp...

Am not lovin that much... under 340 would be disappointing.

 

i'd say lowest you'l see is 340bhp but going on my car and friends simular spec to yours his a 53 plate only headers not ported or up pipe changed and i made 357bhp and he made 351bhp

 

Would reckon you'll see a bit north of 340bhp (on 99 RON fuel with supporting mods) BUT it's not about the top line figure.
Wait until you see the torque curve - that's the bit that really makes the difference .
Quicker spool, harder boost and a nice big hike in midrange power - acceleration and overtaking just becomes a huge .

He's off his heed. 350-360 is nonsense. (unless you've a flier)

310-340. Realistically around 330.

Pretty much the same spec as mine, but i had a 2.5" decat system. Made 315bhp after Andy's first twiddle @ Dastek.

Rather than speculate on this and that, why not just WAIT until the day arrives.

 

I suppose I'll never really know what power the car has as I'm nowhere near a 4wd rolling road.

My Andy F tweaked 03sti made 333bhp and 352lbft of torque. Similar spec minus the headers.

 

I think 350 is easy achievable. Mine made 340 without the decat and headers.

TBH 20 bhp could be the difference between two rolling roads !

 

Headers will only increase your torque really. But you've got quite a lot there already. What's the spec? Sure the "2" and "5" are not the wrong way around?

 

Why not pop into Dastek on the way back from Andy's ?? You'll get the most accurate figure from there, but then that's maybe not what you're after.

the bhp figure is a pub bragging figure!a car that's set up right with 330bhp can feel better than a car with 400 bhp that's set up and mapped just for outright power,was talking to pat at the clinic and he's more about the car being right.
