first off i would like to say that i am a new member and a first time scooby owner, so please do not flame if this is a stupid question. i just bought a stock 94 impreza turbo import and i will be buying a cat back and an intake (not a panel filter). my question is will i need to retune the ecu after putting these on? they will be going on at the same time. thanks for all your help.

oh i forgot to mention that he 2nd cat will be removed. keeping the original downpipe cat.

you only have 1 cat on your car and can remove that as your car will only be tested to the basic emissions test.
When i did what you are about to do i reset the ecu after they were fitted (Scoobypedia | Trusted knowledge for everything Subaru | Scoobypedia browse)

 

i not certain but i dont think there is a second cat on a my94, its just a resonator. think you will be fine with those mods just make sure you use the highest octane fuel and maybe octane booster if your gonna be booting it often. imports are mapped for 100ron fuel and the best over here is 99. a remap will give many benefits and can map the car to run on uk fuel.
