Just had an email from EBC brakes.
I've ordered rear discs and pads.
Apparently they don't do discs for a WRX Type RA 1994.
Is this true, I have them on the front of the car

As far as we understand the brake drum size on the inside of each disc is 190mm on the Type R where as the disc we have listed (the one you have ordered) is 170mm.

Hi buck,

This was'nt a post to slate you guys, hence the reason I did'nt mention any company names.

My scoobies a type RA not type R, the Type R is a newer model than my 94 impreza.

I'd just like to say that I chose EBC Brakes Direct because I have used you in the past and your service was always great, and with my latest order you emailed me to inform me of this problem.

I just can't see how my rear brakes would be any different to the same year scooby of say UK spec.

Do you do discs for a 94 UK Impreza 2.0l turbo?

the RA brakes should be 266mm vented , with a 170mm handbrake , mine was , its only the Type R that has the 290mm disc with a 190mm handbrake

No worries chap, we just try our upmost to send out the right parts first time every time.

If you want to go with "awd wrx's" suggestion then we need to change your order as GD730's (vented) are required not the GD728's (solid).

I'll send you an email on how we do this.

Hi Buck, I've proceeded with the new order. If it's wrong then it's my own fault.

I'll let you know how I get on when they arrive.
If they fit then you can update your records and serve more scooby owners

If they are wrong, you can do the "I told you so" bit!
However, rest assured I will not hold you guys responsible.
