Nope £1700 is the cost.

Why not think about a remap if you can't afford the full PPP? A remap will cost you around £600.

Just trying to keep the warranty valid thats all. Are there any other mods I should consider that will not effect my warranty.

cheers

Any mechanical mods can affect your warranty if they directly cause the failure. If they don't then mods will not affect your warranty. Proving that a DV didn't cause your turbo to go bang isn't always that easy with a main dealer who doesn't want to fix your car for nothing of course. Proving your new set of alloy wheels or after market spoiler didn't make your turbo go pop is of course a tad easier.

My advice would be if you are worried about your warranty only get dealer approved modifications if any at all. The downside as you have already discovered is that you pay through the nose for the PPP for this reason.

I'm getting a remap at the end of the year and have a few minor mods already - see view my scooby. I'm willing to risk that final year... you may not be. You pay your money you take your chances when modding a car.

Well, with my uprated fuel pump, panel filter and exhaust I'm hoping for anywhere between 320-340 bhp, which I have been informed is well within the safe limits of my 06 STI.

Fuel pump is not essential but recommended when going 300+. Cost around £90. Panel filters are around £30. You want to go up North to Andy F if you want a pro remap.

Edinburgh. More locally you have Revolution (Gateshead) and AS (Birtley). Get yourself over to TyneTeesScoobies for some local knowledge from a friendly bunch, if you aint there already.

Mikkel cheers for that, as you can tell I'm new to this modding thing.
