Default Water & Coolant Question

Radiator (Bugeye) was empty because i left the cap off (dumb i know). So do i refill it with half water and half coolant? Am i right in assuming the coolant box next to it is for overflow?

Just mix the Antifreeze/Coolant as labelled on the bottle.

Modern day additives are a coolant and antifreeze in one. When water is under pressure as it is in an engines cooling system its boiling point is higher than 100 degrees. The coolant brings the boiling point back toward 100 degrees. Antifreeze is self explainatory.

It'll be fine short term with just water.
