Standard STI alloy wheels
Been thinking about getting my wheels refurbished as would like the anthracite colour. It's either this or some prodrive alloys...
Has anyone had this done, how much does it tend to cost and is it any good?
Cheers.

You'd need to ask around your local area, starting with tyre places and bodyshops.
Around here, you can get it done WELL for around £35 a wheel if tyres are still in place, or £30 a wheel if bare wheels. that includes any colour, and if "chromed" you can specify and watch to check the level of chroming.

Gold wheels are soooo out! I had my previous STI wheels reconditioned in black/chrome, cost about £60/wheel: I had the car two years and they still looked as good as new when I sold it. I recently bought an 05 STI and have had the wheels redone in anthracite. This is cheaper (about £45/wheel) but looks great on a white car. If you have them done at a decent specialist place then there's no reason to think that they won't be as good as (if not better than) the original Subaru finish. Another bonus is that they will balance the wheels using proper stick-on weights, unlike Subaru who persist in using those awful hammer-on ones

My car is grey and my wheels are silver as standard, but seen a couple with dark wheels on and think it looks better. Cheers, will look into it locally to see what options we have up here
