£1300 done under warranty
The car clunked going slowly round corners, felt like it was trying to push the front wheels off at first, and then the whole car clunked and banged and sort of skipped along in a loud banging motion. Was fine in a straight line.
Apparantly the centre viscous had collapsed.
I have had 3 imprezas and a forester all turbos and never had anything like it so I think its quite rare.

once a STi clutch slips it's not long before the Flywheel face is badly damaged

Subaru dealer fitted 6 speed OEM Clutch and was about £1100 and £1550 if flywheel if required, so shop around

Don't say that mines on 45k and no signs of slipping yet, like Pete said it's all down to how it's driven.

As a rough guide of how much clutch life is left. See how much Clutch Pedal travel is left from "Bite" point to "fully up" piont (not inc free play).

Compare a new Subaru and your own, you'll see what i mean, the lesser the difference the more wear in clutch.

If below an inch of travel (Not actually measured it but feels about that it won't be much life left but as everyone has said depends how driven so could be 500miles to 10kmiles

IIRC AFFAIR
