My next mod will almost certainly be a Front splitter (v- ltd style).
My car is lowered on Tein S tech springs and I am concerened it may catch on speed humps etc.
What clearance does your car have (splitter to ground) and is it on standard or aftermarket springs?
Newage STI owners please.
Cheers.

I'd be interested in the outcome of this thread as mines due to have some Whiteline springs and Noltec adjustable topmounts changed in the near future, and having the chargespeed splitter i'd like to keep it in one piece if possible
i have ebach springs on my 03 sti, when i put the splitter on i did'nt think i was going to get it of the drive!!!!!!my drive has a slight incline and it just touches slightly!!
a mate of mine has the same car as me,he has pro street coilovers on and he can't have a splitter on as its to low!!!hope that helps

Have Prodrive springs/bump stops on my STI and a Scott Lowe lip and the clearance is between the lip bottom and garage floor is 14cm taken right in the middle of the bumper where the little badge is.
The lip is 7cm thick from the underside of the bumper centre (hope that makes sense).

I fitted the same splitter my car when it was on Eibachs. Not sure of the clearance but it caught kerbs/humps regularly until one day i snapped it!
Things are no way near as bad now since the AST's went on but i still need to be careful.
It's worth thinking about where you drive (i.e. driveways etc) regularly before fitting.

Revolution splitter on an AST-equipped (and therefore lowered) MY05 STi - only thing I hit is my driveway which is quite steep. No problems anywhere else.
See "View My Scooby" for pictures.

I've got mine fitted with prodrive springs. speed bumps are ok but its the kerbs what catch mine. took abit of getting used to parking away from the kerb.

Anybody else?
Get use to replacing it mate, you will!!
Got the scott lowe part and even on a standard ride height it catches, kerbs and speed bumps are ok its the ramp on/off angle that catches the splitter, the problem IMO is the forward projection of the splitter not the loss
of ground clearance.
But it does look so much better
Mark.

I had a HT Autos front splitter on MY03 STi. My car is fitted with AST's and lowered slightly than standard. Smashed **** out of it within a week
the country roads where I live are totally unsuitable for such things. Although another scoobynetter on here from my town still has his on. Must be my driving. I like the 'B' roads

I have the PD springs and Scott Lowe spoiler. It's low. Does not catch on speed bumps/humps, but there's no way you'll get over kerbs or any sort of incline. (As i experienced, leaving a show as most of the attendants were helping me out the car park!
)
Also, inform the garages where you take it, as mine was cracked gettin on their ramps. Apparently hundreds of other subarus have been fine. Had to take a 2m wood run up.

You have to be careful, simple as that!!!
I've got a genuine STi one which is now ruined because i let my dad drive it. He didnt realise how low it was and hit a raised grid in a re-surfacing area

Busted.
I was fitting a rear adjustable ARB & took the pic.
Not quite so low side on but gives the impression of being lower when viewed from in front. I'm running Leda suspension which has a similar drop to the Prodrive Eibach springs.

Scott Lowe was using a picture of mine on his old web site.
