Default How much is my STI Engine worth?

I'm having a rebuild and will be left with an STI v5 bottom end (forged pistons etc) with approx. 60k and running fine. Oh and I'll probably just some WRX heads too if required....

As my budget is tight, I wanted to see if these were worth anything much?

Cheers.

I know someone who would give you £400 for it in Kent.

If it was running fine?

Only changed due to head gasket change. Whilst engine is out I'm seriously upgrading the bottom end for some future big power. Engine is in the car right now and can be seen running as work is being carried out next week....

£400 ..... wow!!!!! Is it really worth that much?

i Have PM'd the guy concerned, to see if he IS interested.

He has just had a bottom end failure in a P1, which uses the same engine.

He is obviously gutted at the moment and I think he is torn between selling/splitting/fixing. Hence I do not know if he does have the budget.

A good running engine that can be split and simply have the crank bearing shells replaced for good measure, may well be good timing in this case.

Who is doing your engine rebuild? Is it in Essex as well?
I personally would like to see a P1 back on the road, rather than split for parts.

Ps. Are you replacing your clutch as well?
