what exhaust do I need for a 2.5 WRX or does any new age one fit..?
also what does the Magnex ones sound like...???

You just talking about the back box?

As to sound it really depends what you are looking for. When I bought my car (a 2.5 as well) it had a really loud exhaust, not sure what kind but it was big, and although it sounded great it was just too much for me. I replaced it with a racebox from scoobyworld, which sounds great (better than the STI standard IMO) but does not require the use of ear plugs on motorway journeys. I think scoobyworld.com has some videos of cars fitted with exhausts if you want to listen first to some of the different sizes and makes etc.

 

Take a look at what Hayward & Scott do. Excellent, top quality stuff at competitive prices.

My 2.5 is going there for a front decat, a centre deresonated section and a H&S backbox to be fitted on Friday.

 

but will a exhaust that someone is selling from a 2.0 new age fit my car..???

The 2.0 parts that will fit your 2.5 are the resonator section and the backbox. They are the same length.

The 2.5 downpipe (with cat) and front cat sections are different sizes to the 2.0.
