It was a very reputable tuners (unfare to say)and I was under the impression that it would be around 80.00, however the bill is 80.00 for the Bosch machine plus labour and vat. I presumed this sort of job was a labour only work.?

Perhaps its worth a call to chech their prices.

You are not 'buying' the Bosch machine, are you? There is normally only a labour charge because the labour rates include the cost of their capital equipment (tools & machinery etc). £144 seems way over the top. A place local to me has a newish American 'Jim Beam' laser aligner and a full 3D alignment with all adjustments included and a 'before' and 'after' printout is £59 inc. VAT (a year ago). They also included wheel balancing in that, as a favour..

seems a bit steep that, mine worked out expensive cause i had it done, then changed my mind on lowering it and had the fast road settings done. (really should think things through first )

Got mine done for £44+VAT. They spent over an hour on it and didn't charge any extra. This was in Norwich.

Apparantly not.Funny thing is....... the car seems to drive the same as before I took it in, although I now have comfort in the knowledge it's now set up right.

Think mine was 65 + vat at Powerstation.
About 60 at Dastek.

144 is not just expensive, it's taking the p!sh. Didn't you ask the prices before-hand. I tend to ask about everything, even if it's inmaterial. Just so i know what's going on.

Ahh yes, I do recall seeing you also.

Don't be put off with the prices as they have done some good work for me in the past and they are very good at what they do.

I paid 360.00 for the 30k service at Prosport, which at a main stealer was around 450.00.

Alignment for an Impreza from us is £70 +vat
Aditional costs might be a camber bolt or two in the rear if it warrants it.
They are £23.50+vat and £12.50+vat to fit.
