Average mpg would seem to be about 28-30 but can manage as little as 24 just after being washed and waxed for increased aerodynamic effect.
Dont know where the sensibly button is.

Impossible. I drove 400 miles non-stop at 60 mph all the way in my previous one and only managed 34 mpg.

Why would you buy an Impreza and drive at 60mph (assuming that you're talking about sitting on the motorway).
180 miles to the tank equates to (I think) about 20mpg

I wonder how many thousands of times this thread has been done? It is by far and away the best seller
Is it because Impreza drivers can't afford their cars and have to drive at 56mph to conserve fuel?

no, its because we are masochists and this thread is our own motoring version of self abuse.
I'm a sucker for it every time it comes around.
( By the way, are my numbers likely to get significantly worse when I replace my standard exhaust with a Revolution system ? )

Averaging 275 miles from light for 50 litres. (About 24MP)
(must change feather slippers for lead boots more often.
)
Worst: 10 miles on 1/4 tank, 15 litres, so about 3 or 4MPG
