What cars cut you up most !
#1
My list of top cutters up are
1/ Renault Laguna (usually dark green with fogs on)
2/ BMW 3 Series (mostly the 1992 - 1999 shape)
3/ Merc CLK (Why are they all silver ?)
4/ White Transit (No list complete without that)
5/ Toyota Carina (circa 1986)or any other minicab
6/ BMW X5
7/ Hatchback based cabrios (Golf,306,Megane)
8/ Range Rovers
A private registration adds 50% to the likelyhood of being cut up, especially if its badly spaced and liberally sprinkled with strategically spaced screw heads.

The common theme is that they all suffer from SSS

This weeks top 5 are:
1. Ford Escort - year not important
2. Black Taxi's - when driving around central London
3. Vauxhall Corsa's - Max Power brigade trying to annoy me (especially the ones with the blue washer jets).
4. BT Vans - drivers don't care as they are company vehicles - they just change lanes with no indication or checking mirrors.
5. Honda Preludes - they just do!!
I'm sure this will change by next week!!

I find people carriers, Land Rovers and other "off road" vehicles that only ever go off road when they are parked "on drive" are the worst offenders. But hey, that's why Subaru gave me main beam and a horn

Top 5 for my neck of the woods,
1) Merc CLKs (Yup silver too.. and they're all 200/230
Kompressors which are slow underpowered sh1te !!!)
2) Saxos VTR/S (with the mandatory fogs on)
3) BMW 3 Series (just remember them and laugh when it snows !)
4) Taxis (Carinas and old Mondeos with indicators removed !)
5) School shuttles (The entire 4x4 brigade and 'fugly' MPVs like
that Picasso thing - urrggh !)
Mind you, they make it all good fun don't they...
Cheers,
John
Oh and Seamus - watch the baseball cap comments... whilst I know where you're coming from it seems to upset a lot of people on this BBS (been there, done that !!)

Usually it's any Vauxhall driver or GTI driver. Gosh, these GTI drivers have no idea do they.
On another point, I have had the odd Scooby driver "showing off" overtaking me and blasting down the 30mph road. ****. We both have a Scooby (mines an STI V), so why is another Scooby driver being so silly....he didn't impress me. And why do some Scooby drivers not acknowledge when you wave........I dunno.
Merry Christmas everyone.

my top 3 (and the opinions of friends)
1: mercedes (any they are all driven by to55ers it seems)
2: bmw (again any and they are all driven by to55ers it seems)
3: golf gti (mostly new shape)
Just my opinion not having a pop at anyone on here who drives those cars because they probably care if they are on here.

Phew, I'm glad somebody mentioned Volvos - although it's normally pulling out on you while you're on a roundabout rahter than good old cutting-up.
Any 4X4 school-run-mobile (X5, Cherokee, M-class, etc) seem the absolute worst at cutting up. I don't think either the mirrors or the indicators work on these cars...

1) BMW 3 series. Alays trying to cause accidents on the M25 each morning. Are rear view mirors not fitted to these cars ?
2) Range Rovers. Nearly killed by an idiot driving one about 6 months ago who did an emergency stop in the outside lane of the M25 after I flashed him for pulling out infront of me into a much too small gap. Big car , small brain / underpant contents.
3) Toyota MR2 Turbos ( seem to like undertaking too )
4) Big Mercs. Nearly lost my front end to one a few months back. Indicators must be an optional extra.
5) Audi S3s . you might be quick but you drive like a dick.

your right mate
those little b@stards on those little b@stards scooter things, they appear in gangs of about 3 or 4, weaving in and out of the traffic when your at the lights of stuck in traffic.
its when they come up the side of you at the lights and then stop in front.

As someone who runs a CLK, SLK (yes silver) and a WRX PPP there is now way they should be getting past you - you don't even have load of twiddly bits to distract you in the Subaru. Well not on the car. And on top of that you know we women get easily distracted doing our hair etc!

Theres a black (not silver) in Wilmslow with a private plate
HALL or something and this guy is quite the most aggressive/inconsiderate driver I have ever seen, overtook me the a while back on the chevrons joining the motorway. Overtook me (and others) in the rain/dark in a 30 in the town centre and nearly caused a pile up. This guy is a local legend, I have heard him being mentioned in my local in less than glowing terms !
If you know him, ask him to calm down a bit !

I wonder if there is an infamous 'character' like HALL in every area?
The one on my regular rural run is in a Vauxhall Vectra. Also seen him in Astra & Cavaliar I think. Probably be in that new MPV thing next!
After being passed when & where it is safe he will never let it go & must have another pop when I'm in a trail of traffic on blind bends when playtime has finished. All power to him, but I feel for the poor buggers he is going to hit head-on & I do not want bits of Vauxhall- burning or otherwise- marking the Scoob.

I hate every other motorist on the road basically, they are always in my way, cutting up, pulling out or whatever - t0ssers the lot of them.
I wish motoring was twice as expensive as it already is then there might be less of these plebs on the road.

Audi A4s - normally 1.9TDIs or 1.8Ts - as an ex-A4 driver, I can't see what their problem is, maybe it's the "glorified VW, not quite a 3 series" label the car gets.
On the subject of "local rogues" though, there's an infamous guy a few people at work had told me about around Holbeck, Leeds. I came across him a couple of weeks back whilst coming off a roundabout in the outside lane, with a bus on the inside. The bus started to slip across in front of me (accidentally I presume) so I slowed down, intending to pull in behind the bus as the road went back to one lane up ahead. A black A4 that I'd seen driving like an **** earlier immediately accelerated up to about an inch from the back of the bus to stop me pulling in, a look of glee on his face (?). I pulled in behind him, checked for oncoming traffic & overtook him and the bus. Literally over a minute later he caught me up (either his cars shagged or he drives like my granny as it's only a 40 and I wasn't going mad), and I see him coming up behind (he must have been doing 70) and then slam on - with both hands off the wheel making "come on then" gestures (WTF?)! Unfortunately he hadn't seen the cop car parked at the other side of the road, and the copper with a puzzled expression on his face. I slowed down to about 30, hoping the copper would sic him (not nice I know, but it would have been soooo sweet) and he turned off sharpish.
If anyone knows him, help him with his problem for god's sake. If he was going "come on" 'cos he wanted a race then why, considering he couldn't keep up in the first place? If he wanted a fight, why again? I overtook safely and legally - it's not my problem his little "victory" didn't work out.
Phew, that's got that off my chest.
Merry Christmas everyone!

I was chased by a similar jerk in a GTI along the Old Kent road a couple of years back, I made it throught the lights art Elephant and Castle on amber and red mist man follows thru on the red, only to be pulled by a police van that appeared as if from nowhere - I was loving the view in the rear mirror!

1. Evos - every model, they really have something about B4s it seems...god help anyone driving an Impreza
2. BM3s - it's all been said before
3. Audis - all of them seem to have great mirrors - they always cut in on me!! Esp. the ones with "S" badges
4. Large black sedans (eg S-class, Celsior/Lexus, but any make really, usually with blacked out windows) - not only do they own the politicians, they own the bl**dy roads too!!
More will come to my small mind soon...
