Any "cosmetic" mods that make you giggle? Please don't turn this into a Max Power slag off session, i just want to know if anyone else looks at modded cars and giggles in a " what's the point" type of way.
I've got loads of stickers on my car, you know, Subaru windscreen strip, TSL logo on the fuel cap, TSL web site stickers (Adds an extra 4 BHP ) across the top of my rear window, prodrive stickers on my front spliter and under my repeaters and of course my scooby doo sticker and union jack on the boot lid.
Therefore, i feel qualified to giggle at other people, cos i'm sure they laff at me
The mod that is winning at the moment is the fake rear brake discs

I don't know what it is yet but I am certain you can buy it from this site http://shop.foliatec.de/
This is my current fave!
RACE WindowBraces
In racing sport window frames are exposed to enormous pressures. In order to guarantee safety, special window frames have been developed. Decorate your vehicle in super racing style, too! Just attach braces to the wind-shield or back window and you immediately get that true racing feeling. The self-adhesive aluminium braces can be made to fit along any edges and curves. Do it now - your vehicle is just too good for plain boring-looking windows.
Or
RACE WindowSurroundLook
RACE WindowSurround Look gives you self-adhesive strips and dummy screws to give a race-style look to window surrounds. Take the strips, cut them to size, match them and fix the dummy screws at the appropriate intervals. Treat your car to a loud and showy race look. RACE WindowSurround Look is sufficient for 2 front and 2 rear quarter windows or 1 windscreen and 1 backlight. Includes 120 dummy screw-heads.

I always have a little smug chuckle to myself when I roll up next to someone with my 17" rims gleaming, and they have got a set of those alloy-wheel lookalike wheel trims from Halfords. The ones that are meant to look like 3 spokes with huge bits of black painted plastic in between the pretend spokes!!!

Stick on "Alloy" filler flaps
Peco big bore 4, bought an Astra with one of these on, refitted the original as nobody would buy the car otherwise, advertised the big bore in Loot and the ammount of calls I had was amazing,
I said to my wife that whoever picks this up will be wearing a baseball cap, puffa jacket and an earing, and he was

ok, here's a few that make me giggle (also on my car)
so, let's look at exhibit a)
Silly big exhaust and window tint
exhibit b)
mini blue neon like interior lights
exhibit c)
Bonnet vent air scoops and morette quad headlamps
and finally, exhibit d)
Richbrook Black Aluminium Tax Disc Holder.
so, there you have it, giggles a plenty. And that don't include the giggles I get when I press the loud pedal and the car makes some rather nice noises!

I did a mag article with Fast Car a couple of years ago. The article theme was quite good... rally cars for the road for less than 10 grand.
Mark Coleman's WRX won the test, beating the Mitsi EVO 3 and Escort Cossie.
The Escort Cossie was a scream though...
Steering wheel with loads of buttons ("what do the buttons do?" "Nothing, they're just for show")
But the best bit was the "custom made" stainless fake rear brake discs.
The owner had spent over £20k on shiny bits and nothing on performance. It was crawled around, so as not to get dusty
The extra weight of all the polished stainless bits under the bonnet was balanced nicely by the sheer scale of the car cleaning products range carried in the boot
My presence was a good excuse to chuck OP's car around the Rallysprint course, exactly what four wheel drive cars are built for

Cosworth on basic fords....

It's a few years ago now, but Ronal used to make a wheel called the Teddy which was a five spoke wheel with the spokes consisting of the head, legs and arms of a spread-eagled teddy bear!!!!
The other day I saw some wheel trims in the same design, complete with a little hat on the teddy!!
Now if anyone can top that I'll show my **** on the townhall steps!
No, hang on, how about Ronal Teddies with fake plastic disc brakes behind them covering up the drums!!!

stevencotton,
no idea mate, were fitted to the car when I got it from japan, BUT! Halfords are now selling these things, go to one of the branches that sells the ripspeed stuff and you should find them, not sure how like mine they are, but I know the silver bodied ones have white lights (mine have blue) and the blue bodied ones have blue lights. plug into *** lighter, volia, instant MP appeal

Ok, I've got an Idea! How about some wheel covers with huge smilies
I saw a maxed up car once with wheel covers that had some sort of bearing and where heavier on one side so they stand still when the wheels were rolling. It was pretty weird to wath it hover by. If only they had smilies on them
