Default Can My Car Be Towed Away And Destroyed?

I live in an apartment that has 24 allocated parking spaces for the residents, one being allocated to each resident.

The problem I have is that one side of the car park is lined with a number of quite large tree's, yep you guessed it my allocated parking is under those tree's.

So for a while I have been parking away from the tree's in a non allocated parking bay. The area I park does not cause any inconvience for the residents and is in no way an obstruction. I would park in my bay but daily car washing isn't ideal spending hours removing sap, birds crap and anything else that tree's like to leave on my car.

I have received a letter from the managing agents today saying that if I don't start parking in my allocated bay within 14 day my car will be towed away and destroyed.

I was was wondering if anyone else had come across this problem and what my rights are in this situation any help would be much appreciated.

Park it under the trees and send them the bills for the valet each week.

car cover would be good but would probably become quite a pain if you're in and out all the time.

Maybe have a chat and see if some compromise can't be reached?

Failing that, cut down the trees!

Ask them if they can move your allocated bay.
