But you should already have a better turbo already - a TD05. Loads of peeps swap from TD04s to TD05s, not the other way round

Thats right mate, the jap ones had the better tdo5 as standard.
dont swap that unless there is something wrong with it

god knows, smoking, or whining on boost would be a start. or taking it off and seeing if any play on the turbine.
sure someone will come along soon on here who knows abit more mate.
