Default Have i done something

After removing my clocks to get the speedo working the car has started to cut out when driving, i noticed the rev counter jumps around a bit. I took of the bottom panel under the steering wheel and put my arm up behind to connect the speedo wire so i dident need to remove the clocks after all could i have done something behind there which has started this.
Thanks Neil

Disturbed a connector or an earth wire/connection...
Or a blown fuse...
And/or not connected the right wires up.
