Question

Until this weekend, i didn't realise that an STi could come with either the star design
or the slanted "i" (is that what it is??) on the front grille, obviously both with a pink background.

So what determines which one you get? Is it something mundane like year of manufacture,
or is there a more interesting difference?

Am i right in saying that all non-STi WRX's have the slanted "i" on a green background?

Cool

bottle green stars:
UK model

bottle green i:
WRX model

pink i:
WRX STI model (there's a topical cream available! )

pink stars:
WRX STI V-Limited, 22b or other special import model.

Of course, many owners change their badges (e.g. to make the car look like the 'hotter' model they wish they had bought), so you can't rely on the badging much these days.
