Ferrari F430
A very rare commodity I feel,
I was sat at the lights, in the right lane, with traffic infront of me, window down, new oakleys on, and I saw come flying up to the back of me nothing but a Ferrari 430, now I thought well, this is a rare opurtunity so I floored it from the lights but there was a car infront so couldnt go anywhere major.
Next set of lights I pulled upto, clear road infront, I was in the left lane, and he pulls in the right lane next to me, had his window down also, he looked at me and smiled and I thought right **** this, im actually going for it -
Lights changed to amber, I absolutly floored it, and so did he, what a sound/sight that must of been for anyone there but his car sounded absolutly immense, and to my surprise and , I actually beat this ferrari from the line until my lane was obstructed (after it had gone into 1 lane) and the 430 went round both of us,
Moral of the story is, I am a happy chappy that my £14k saloon just beat a £150k ferrari from the lights. Probably means nothing to anyone or seems childish, but im so chuffed as me and my mates always refer to cars as "ferrari fast" etc.
Lovely day

fair play to you mate. I had a go with one froma rolling start in my old 340+bhp impreza and got absolutly slaughtered! so your car must have a fair bit of power. You did have the advantage of the start (4wd) but after than he should have left your car!!

It is only when you get chance to go for it against this type of machinery do you appreciate what a great car the scoob is.
I had play with an M6 the other day, both going for it full chat - and he was no where.
A nice wave and flash of the lights ended our bit of fun - not often people with these types of cars want to play as they have too much too loose.
Full marks.

Ok, not a WRX but nothing with the BHP you are talking about.
Luckily I was not alone, so not simply me bragging.
No one was more suprised than me - I can tell you. Ok, maybe the M6 driver then.
