Why would you have bought a secondhand MAF?

You could try squirting some Carb Cleaner inside the intake - might work.

I would get it confirmed before jumping to conclusions, the MAF gets blamed for everything from a broken relay to a flat tyre!

I didnt ask for a second hand one , my car broke down ( faulty maf) my local scooby garage got the car in quick smart and said " we can get you back on the road today with a used MAF" cost £100 and for that i had

1. answerd phone at 7.30am (not many open that time in a morning)
2. low loader recovery with in 30 mins
3. worked on my car straight away
4. a used but clean MAF ( and my old one back to me)
5. New set of plugs
6. they dropped the car 5 miles back to me

as much as i was greatful for there efforts i would of liked a new one but that would of ment being off the road for a day or 2,
So that is how i ended up with a used one, now ive put you straight, could some one answer my question on the best place to get a NEW ONE
Oh and i know 100% it the maf and not a flat tyre

I would say your friendly Subaru garage may well have some in stock?

Or are you looking for a 3rd party part?
