Thumbs up CONGRATULATIONS all Impreza drivers!

The terrible weather that we've had over the last 2 days has justified your vehicle purchase. Jolly well done.

Just the remaining 363 days to worry about now

Says the man that can't stand jap imports and isn't big on modding so therefore, by default, must surely own a near standard or completely standard UK car. Humilate - lol. 60-140 my old V6 pug kept 215bhp classics at bay

and well done to all the SUV owners too. Now you can drop your kids off at school without worrying about being stuck. Oh, hang on - 2mm of snow and the schools all close in case some kid slips and sues them.

What? The only reason I mentioned mods is because I don't know for sure that pslewis doesn't have a 400bhp monster. I therefore made the distinction between standard/modified to cover myself. My point is simply that anyone that thinks a standard UK WRX or UK Turbo 2000 can humiliate other cars needs their head seen to. They are quick cars but nearly all modern hot-hatches will frighten or ourtright beat them in a straight-line.

FWIW your car probably is better than mines! I have a tricked up STI-5 with a huge can out the back and black tinted windows. Is screams chav, it sounds chav and its an Impreza so it probably is chav. But, it's quick and keeps me happy in that regard

I found mine perfectly ok.
What are you guys expecting? Doesn't matter what car you drive, a road car with normal/performance tyres, isn't going to set the world alight on snow!

I found my toyos gripped very well, considering the conditions.
It took quite a lot of power to lose traction and when I did 'push on a bit', it was very predictable and surprisingly easy to control a 4 wheel drift.
