Default newbie question

Hello folks

First post i have a MY98 turbo with 41k on the clock.

Had the car for about 3 months with no worries so far.

This is my first impreza and need to know if the clutch is manually adjustable. The reason being is when the engine is running and i depress the clutch it is not always easy to find first gear. also when approaching a junction say in
4th gear the change down to 2nd or 1st it is quite stiff or notchy. When the engine is off the gears are very smooth with the clutch depressed and the situation improves slightly when everything is warm.
The clutch does not whine or slip when in a high gear and the car stalls immediately with the handbrake on.
Had the gearbox oil changed and the mechanic said there was no splinters of metal at all when the oil was dropped which was good news.
Not a mechanic at all folks but the reason why i suggest the clutch is due to the same thing happening on my bike, the clutch was adjusted and its right as rain.

Thnaks guys

as far as im aware there all hydrolic clutches.if the car creeps with the pedal depressed or hard to find the gears it could be a leaking slave cylinder
