Servicing - How far in advance?

Servicing - How far in advance?
My car is coming up for it's 20k service. At the moment I've done 18.5k and for me to do another 1.5k will take me about another month and a half. At the moment I am working from home so it would be more convient for me to get my car serviced now as I need my car normally for work. I also need my front brake pads replacing which I want them to doing at the same time of my service. Can I have my car serviced now with mileage as it is at present or does it have to be closer to the 20k service interval?

Theres nothing wrong with an early service, it looks a lot better on paper, but aslong as you keep it up, so the next time u need it servicing, u do it @ 28.5k, not 30k, although 1500 miles doesnt really make too much difference.
Id say go for it! Its only the 20k, not major!

at a scooby stealer probably a hefty bill they quoted me £510 for 60k service with no extras
so for 20k and pads would guess around the £250 mark but i might be wrong

the 'official' margins are 500miles either side of a service - so if you get it done now, you can push it our by 500miles to eventually get it back (18,5k now, 29k next, 39.5k etc).
food for thought!

Don’t you have to get your service at which ever comes first, mile or year. My present car was in for its first service and only had 8500 on the clock, first service should be 12500 or 1 year. As long as you stay within what they state for your warranty.
