Default Testing The Water

Haven't seen one of these for a few days so thought I'd create one of my own

Had my car nearly a year now and am considering downsizing to something a little more discreet and cheaper to run (Wife to be wants kids asap!!)

Car:
Green MY00 Turbo 2000 Saloon 'X' Reg
1 Previous Owner
37k - FSH
11 Mths MOT, 4 Mths Tax
Sony CD Stereo
Tracker

Mods:
Quickshift (Have original)

Apart from the quickshift it is a completely standard car (inc Pea Shooter B'Box).

£7k

I expect I'll get the usual responses that it's not worth anywhere near what I'd hope for - But I know what I want for it considering the mileage and condition.

Baby seats fit well in scoobs, keep it, when the time comes it will get her to hospital quicker than an ambulance. or you could get a wagon more space.

In what way are you testing the water? Is this for sale ie in the wrong forum?or do you want to know if we think it's worth the money which you suggest not

OK then, my tuppenceworth. £7k is not unfeasable if you find someone who really wants an unmolested classic with low miles and yours is a minter. Also if they are happy with green and not after DBM or red mica. also if you live in a well populated area so you get a good few viewings.

However, there are loads of cars of similar age in decent condition albeit more miles but a lot cheaper you will have to compete with.

Unfortunately more sellers than buyers of sccobs at the moment and most people just wanting big power for the least money - not appreciating a minter.

I reckon you ask £7k, someone offers £6k and you meet at £6.5k - everyone happy with the deal

If your car is any bit tatty then you will get offers <£6k I reckon
