Having replaced my fonrt pads a couple of months ago with some cheapo aftermarket ones (I was skint at the time!!!), they have started squeaking so took them of too have a look and not only have the faces of the new pads split!!! Only done about 3000 miles!! They have also put hairline cracks all over the disc faces!! So in a bid too save money....!!! Any how question is where can I get competatively priced Crossed drilled discs from? and uprated pads?

PS Don't fit Lucas pads no matter how skint you are!!!!!

apparently hairline cracks are common on certain models.

What age is your car, and is under warranty?

If so you may be able to claim (although I can see them arguing that the pads did cause this). Which would not be likely!

 

Was looking at an upgrade anyhow, this has just given me an excuse to do it earlier than I had planned!!
